Irada is a national governmental program launched by the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation in 2002 as one of the components of the Program for Enhancing Economic and Social Productivity, translating the Royal Vision to address the development challenges facing the Kingdom. It has been implemented by the Royal Scientific Society since 2006. The Irada program works to enhance the spirit of leadership in local individuals and community organizations (cooperative and charitable societies, youth clubs, and municipalities).
